WHO GOD SAYS  THAT I AM

BY MIMI BOSMAN

We often have thoughts of ourselves, what we May or May not look like, we think we are to big or to small, to fat, to thin, to stupid, to clever, a nurd, ugly, the prettiest thing on this earth or whatever a person could think of them selves or of others. How we search for approval from others and sometimes even try to identify ourselves with others, how we think, walk, talk, dress etc etc is often found to be done just so that Some other person would approve us.

But thats absolutly not the way God thinks of us, we are His master plan, His super creation we are created in His very own image, God, The Word & The Holy Spirit in His image He created us.

He has only Good thoughts of us and good plans for us. He loves is so much that He gave His only begotten Son for us, He sacrificed His Son for us so that we could have a restored relationship with Him. He gave us His word to guide and protect us

into Eternity. Here are some of the many verses to Help you change your image of yourself and help you see others through Gods eyes.

What does God think of us? And how He sees us.

God created us uniquely, Let’s look at what uniquely means... it means
1.“
IN A WAY THAT BELONGS OR IS CONNECTED TO ONLY ONE PARTICULAR PERSON OR THING.”

  1. Have you ever thought of yourself in that way?

  2. Just Think of that for a moment...there is only one of you in this whole wide world!

2.second meaning “In a very special or unusual way”. God made you in a different way.

  1. He made us different than the animals, Birds, Fish or flowers and plants.

  2. GENISIS 2:7 He breathed His breath into us

2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

So here when we look at creation we see what God thinks of us.

He had made the man and the Woman in the image Of God. ( in His own image!)

Genesis 1:26-27

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
He saw us and said:
Genesis 1:31 (AMPC)
31 And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good (suitable, pleasant)
and He approved it completely. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

But that’s not all He say's about who we are.

God has called each and everyone of us personally, He chose us and we responded with our free will to serve Him and to be His " person" that we share life with. God in the first place to honour Him for creating us, loving us and giving us a second chance at life... life that will not end because unlike Him we have a beginning and just like Him we will have no end. After we dedicate our lives to Him He dedicates His promisses to us and He will keep each and every one. So the life and relationship we have here on earth will continue in "Heaven".

In
Isaiah 43:1b
, we’re reminded: “I have called you by name; you are mine.”
God shaped us as a potter does clay. God has not only created us but formed us and called us to serve Him in specific ways, tailored to each life.
If we are His it also means that He Longs for a relationship with each and every one of us.

John 10:27-28 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.”
So This is what we are to God.

Who we are in Jesus Christ

Ephesians 5:8 “You are no longer darkness, but light in my Son. Walk as children of light Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill
2Peter 1:3 I have called you ( He has called each and every one of us by name)
Romans 1:7 You are now a saint, an appointed one, a servant & a witness, a steward, and a soldier

7 To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts26:16 16 But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, To appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you,
1 Peter 4 :10 10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:

2 Timothy 2:3 3 Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

I am a Child of God

John 1:12
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,

I am part of Gods plan

We are all part of Gods greater plan, not one person excluded can yo imagine that? Look at your neighbour, friend or the squatter alonside the road you canot see the greater picture God has for them, you possibly can't even imagine that God can and will use them for that what He has created them for. God loves each and every person in an unconditional way...we could and should learn from that! He just hates the sin that people do... Everybody gets a chance and a choice to serve Him and Him alone. He loves you so much that He has chosen you! Believe it or not He sure does Love you.

these next verses teach us that. read them speak them and believe them.

1 Peter 2:9“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.”
Ephesians 1:4-5“Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will ...”
Ephesians 2:10“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
1 Timothy 2:3-4“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
2 Peter 1:3-4“... as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the Devine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
(God’s nature, or divine nature, is perfectly pure and it cannot be tempted by evil. We are
promised that we can be partakers of the divine nature by fleeing the corruption in the world that comes through our lusts. As we gradually overcome our sinful human nature it is replaced by divine nature God shares His own nature with...us. As our natural reactions to the situations we meet in life are overcome, the works of the flesh, such as envy, pride, malice, and greed, are replaced by the fruit of the Spirit. In other words, reacting with love, humility, goodness, joy, etc. becomes our very nature. This is what it means that we can partake of divine nature. This is the process of sanctification. ( 2 Peter 1:2-4; 2 Corinthians 2:17: 1 John 3:2-3; James 1:13;Galatians 5)

I am a giver

A giver doesn't just give money a giver gives his or her love first to God the father, follows in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and has the Holy Spirit living in them who they honor because they are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

The definition is

1. Giver...

2.The act of bestowing as a gift; a conferring or imparting.

3.  A gift; a benefaction.

4. The act of softening, breaking, or yielding.

5. Donation-

6. Thing given

7. Giving ear

We give our love, time, care, clothing, food, education, listening ear, etc.

Give your testimony, share your spirits of the fruits,

Hebrews 13:16
And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased
Acts 20:35"In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"
Philippians 2:4do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Luke 6:38
"Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure--pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."

Matthew 13:8
and others fell upon the good ground, and were giving fruit, some indeed a hundredfold, and some sixty, and some thirty.
(YLT)

I am a blesser

Defenition

verb used with object

to consecrate or sanctify by a religious rite; make or pronounce holy ( the hebrew word Holy does not mean perfect! otherwise Christ would have not needed to die for us).

to request of God the bestowal of divine favor on:Bless this house.
to bestow good of any kind upon:a nation blessed with peace.
to extol as holy; glorify:Bless the name of the Lord.
to protect or guard from evil (usually used as an interjection): Bless you! Bless your innocent little heart!

We must always give our blessings to God by praising Him and giving Him Glory

I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1

The Bible states that it is far better to give than to receive!  Acts 20:35

Do we always feel happy to give? when giving our time, money, help, food, clothing, taking care of

others, looking out to the widow, the prisoner, the orphan? We must be glad, happy givers at all times, never complaining.

Phillipians 4:4 "  Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!"

This is not said for no reason it is to glorify God in that way it is showing Christ that lives in you, it's the only way people will get to know Jesus...they must see Him in everything that we do.

 Galatians 6:10
So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.( this is being a Blessing to others)

2 Corinthians 9:8-11
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at

all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.

I am set apart

Isn't this a verse that makes you feel special? It assures us that we are His special childeren...He sets us apart from all others for a reason for us to be His holy peoples, loved with an unimaginable love a love so great that it surpasses our understanding if we could all just grasp that...let it sink into the deepest spot of your brain then let it sink into the deepest part of your heart and make it yours to believe, to hold on to and to never forget.

You are set apart for a specific reason... thats actually what the root meaning of the Hebrew word “Qadash,” means.

( the hebrew word Holy does not mean perfect! otherwise Christ would have not needed to die for us it means set apart).

Hebrews 10:10-12 GOD’S WORD
10 We have been set apart as holy because Jesus Christ did what God wanted him to do by sacrificing his body once and for all.
11 Every day each priest performed his religious duty. He offered the same type of sacrifice again and again. Yet, these sacrifices could never take away sins. 12 However, this chief priest made one sacrifice for sins, and this sacrifice lasts forever. Now he holds the honored positionthe one next to God the Father on the heavenly throne.

I am a disciple

John 13:34-35
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

I am of use to the kingdom

Luke 4:43We “must preach the good news of the kingdom of God”

Luke 8:1“proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God”

Luke 11:20“If it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon

you
( Jesus doesn’t only declare the Kingdom he also
demonstrates it through His works!
Luke 10:1-4
10.After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 4 Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.

I am a doer and not just a sayer

James 1:22-25
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a
mirror;
24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

I am healed by His stripes

The bible says that we are healed, thats not just a foolish statement! No seriously... "we are healed by His stripes and His alone"

God knew that mankind would suffer all sorts of ilnesses after the sin of Adam so He sent His only Son Jesu who is said to be thae 2nd Adam to suffer for us, our sins are forgiven and our sicknesses are healed and so are all our transgressions.

By His stripes and by the Blood that He shed and by Forgiving those that hurt Him! He went through everything that we humans go through in life and He did it without sinning! so yes He is the second Adam... But He is better much better than the first. The first brought destruction the second brought Life back to us... life in it's purest form... we have been reconsiled and restored,  restorated. He has given us His authority to have , own and use. Take that authority and use it now, speak life over your body and your being.

Isaiah 53:55 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
1 Peter 2:24

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

I am saved by His Grace ( Grace = spiritual Blessing and favour)

1 Timothy 1:14
And the grace (unmerited favour and blessing) of our Lord [actually] flowed out superabundantly
and beyond measure for me, accompanied by faith and love that are [to be realized] in Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 1:1-2
1 Paul, an apostle (special messenger) of Christ Jesus by appointment and command of God our Saviour and of Christ Jesus (the Messiah), our Hope,
2 To Timothy, my true son in the faith: Grace (spiritual blessing and favour), mercy, and [heart] peace [be yours] from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
( here we see that we May speak
God’s Grace over each other)

I am protected by His hands

With the death of Christ and His restoring us and providing us with His word and authority we are certain that we are safe in His almighty hands. He looks out for us as a shepherd does his sheep and when we loose track of our where abouts He doesn't, He had you in His vision al the time... when you thought you where alone He was there right beside you, when you thought you had to go through the rough and though times He was there carrying you, the one set of foot prints in the sand where His and not yours... imagine if they where yours... Just imagine that for a second... would they look so perfect? no! they most certainly wouldn't... they would look all draged about with knees and hands digging in the sand to pull your self forward. The sand would look like an aweful mess. But thank God for His protection at all times.

Psalm 23:1-6 ( a psalm of David)
1 The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.
2 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the
still
and restful waters.
3 He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake. 4 Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear
or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head
with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.
6 Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

I am an heir of God

If we are heirs that means that He has adopted us into His family, we now have the same rights as His Son Jesus Christ. We have the same authority and can now do the same things that Jesus has done and we will beable to do even greater things than those. We now have inherited Heaven, Heaven is our new future home but all things that are in Heaven we have the same rights to right here right now  on earth.

Romans 8:16-17Paul says, “Now if we are children, then we are heirsheirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”
(According to this verse, we share in the sufferings of Christ now and will share in the glory of Christ later as His “co-heirs” or “joint-heirs.”)
we have “an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade . . . kept in heaven”
Galatians 3:29
And if you
are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

I am empowered

Romans 4: 20-22
No unbelief
or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of

God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God, 21 Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.
22 That is why his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God). Or from the WEB version

20 No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God, 21 Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.

22 That is why his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).

I am unique

1 John 5:4
For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that

conquers the world, even our faith.

PROCLAMATIONS

I am not forsaken

Just as the Lord here in verse 94 is speaking to King David when He cries out and thinks God does not hear him, God does hear him, how could the God that created the ears not hear him? God promises him that He will never forsake Israel, His people and that if they would obey His voice He would make them His treasured people on the earth which is His.

In the same way this verse applies to us now and in this day and age what ever we are going through God is there, He hears our cries and our voices the God that is the God of Israel is the God we serve and obey He listens to us and although we go through tough times He is there to help us out of our "Egypt" He will never ever leave us in a situation and not help us out.

We must realise that what ever we go through God has seen it- even before we know what is going to happen- He knows the beginning and the end and all we have to do is trust Him, have Faith, be still and wait.

Psalm 94:14

“For the Lord will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.” Exodus 19:5
Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and

keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.”

Deuteronomy 31:8

Romans 8:38-39
“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I am more than a conqueror

Romans 8:31-39 ( only read 37-39 now)
37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers,
39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:22
“But now having been set free from sin , and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.”
(Sin is anything that goes against God’s will and His laws. To commit sin is to transgress or
disobey these laws. The lust to sin dwells in human nature. In other words, it is contaminated and motivated by the sinful tendencies that dwell in all people as a result of the fall into sin and disobedience in the garden of Eden.)

John 4:14

“... but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

John 14:2-3
“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

Revelation 21:3-4
